Pink Flowers Blue Vase

Pink Flower, Blue Vase - the original is 18 x 36 acrylic on canvas. It is owned by a collector who spends half the year in Arizona and the other half of the year in Maine. The painting is actually one of my early pieces. I had been growing Peonies, fairly successfully for a seaside garden in Maine. I love the richness of the large full blossoms and the excitement of waiting for the hearty large buds to open. One day when I was in a painting class, the instructor brought in this large ceramic vase filled with Peonies. What was I to do. It was my first large piece and I could not wait to get to work on the canvas.
