The first time someone discovers Stonington, Maine they almost always fall in love. This quiet lobster fishing community, sits at the end of the Blue Hill Peninsula. By land you drive across a causeway and watch the light as it lands on the archipelago of islands that string out before you. Many sailors discover Stonington as it is considered prime sailing territory. I love paddling from the cottage in Spruce Harbor to Stonington Harbor. This is the view you can see right before you paddle into the harbor. Its true. My husband and I are addicted to our annual week visit to this magical place.
